Inner Fire

Nach 25 Jahren Konzert- und Kompositionstätigkeit im deutschen Sprachrum startet Siegfried Fietz mit heißem Herzen sein erstes englischsprachiges Songalbum 'Inner Fire'. Siegfried Fietz hat sich seit einem halben Jahr mit Dirk Schmalenbach zusammengetan. Dirk spielt Violine und Tasteninstrumente, beschäftigt sich mit Computertechniken und arbeitet im ABAKUS Tonstudio als Tontechniker.

'Inner Fire' ist das erste gemeinsame Album der beiden Künstler, die durch das Zusammenlegen ihrer Gaben eine ungeheure Kreativität und musikalisch wie technische Perfektion zu Tage fördern. Fünf Monate haben die beiden an dieser Produktion im Studio gearbeitet. Die Hörer dürfen also etwas Besonderes erwarten.
Alle Song-Texte sind von Ulrich Schaffer, der im englischen Sprachraum lebt und Inhalte, Sprache und Singbarkeit in großartiger Weise verbindet.

Die Autoren nehmen 1986, das Jahr von Dietrich Bonhoeffers 80. Geburtstag zum Anlass, die Bonhoeffer-Vertonung 'Von guten Mächten wunderbar geborgen' in Englisch auf diesem Album zu veröffentlichen. Ulrich Schaffer ist hier eine ausgezeichnete Übertragung gelungen:
